Professor Anthony Milton was elected the first Chairman of the Club, under its new constitution, in 2005. Between 2004 and 2005 he had been chairman of the committee.
Previously, Professor Milton lived for over twenty years in the village of Bieldside in Aberdeenshire and took as his affix, the name Baillieswells, as this was the name of the wells in front of his garden.
Before moving to a tiny village in rural South Cambridgeshire in 1996, Professor Milton was a long time committee member of the Scottish Border Terrier Club and also served on the committee of the Border Terrier Club.
Professor Milton joined the club soon after moving to East Anglia. He was elected to the committee in 1998.
Though now officially retired, Professor Milton still teaches a few students at Cambridge University.
Professor Milton relocated to Scotland again at the end of 2021 and has therefore resigned as Chairman.
As a thank you for his contribution to the club, Professor Milton was presented with a framed picture, inscribed with the dates he was Chairman, by our Secretary Mr Michael Hollinsbee.
